80 parties submit income-expenditure details to Election Commission

Jan 18, Kathmandu : As many as 80 political parties out of 111 have submitted their income and expenditure details for the fiscal year 2072/73 BS so far. As per the provision, parties should submit their income and expenditure details to the Election Commission within the six months after the end of each fiscal year. Similarly, six political parties that were registered as per the Interim Constitution-2063 BS but are yet to be registered as per new constitution have also submitted the details to the commission, said officer at the commission, Ghamchandra Timsina. Jan 18, Kathmandu : A four-day international conference on the reconstruction of the museums in the country damaged by the Gorkha Earthquake has kicked off in Kathmandu from today. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Bahadur Shahi inaugurated the conference organized by the International Council of Museums Nepal Chapter with an objective to garner support from the concerned community to rebuild the museums sustaining damages in the 7.6-magnitude quake that struck on April 25, 2015. DoTM to replace small vehicles in Kathmandu Valley

Jan 18, Kathmandu : In a bid to promote mass transportation in the Kathmandu Valley, the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) is preparing to remove small vehicles plying in the Valley from March-end. In accordance with the government's policy of developing mass transport systems in the major towns and cities, small vehicles, including tempo, micro and minibuses, will be replaced by large buses. Jan 18, Rajbiraj : Two youths were injured from a knife attack at Yoginimai Municipality-4 last night. Manoj Kumar Mandal, 25, of the same place attacked a local Budhan Sharada with a knife over a minor dispute.
