May 15, Jumla : The local level elections' vote counting is underway in Chandannath Municipality and the Patarasi, Hima, Kankasundari village councils here in the district. District's Chief Election Official, Basudev Neupane, confirmed the start of the counting of votes from a ward of the municipality. In the first round, 112 votes were counted in which Nepali Congress' mayoral candidate Kantika Sejuwal leads the table with 66 votes while Jagat Bahadur Khatri trails behind with 53 votes. May 15, Myagdi : The vote counting of the polling stations at Bhanu Secondary School and Ram Chandra Secondary School in Banepa – 1 of Beni Municipality has commenced. Of the total of 400 votes counted till now, the candidate from the CPN (UML) and RPP coalition is leading with 205 votes while Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate is trailing behind with 152 votes, Chief Election Official's Office stated. Youth hacked to death

May 15, Taplejung : A youth was hacked to death in a Khukuri attack on Sunday at Fuling – the district headquarters of Taplejung. 26 – year – old Sabahang Tabebung Limbu aka Tiger of Furumbu of Fuling Municipality – 10 was killed in the attack, said District Police Office, Taplejung. A group of two to three persons attacked Sahabang at 7:30 am at a coffee house. Sahabang sustained deep cut injuries to his abdomen and died on the way to the district hospital for treatment. Police have arrested Suman Limbu, one of the attackers, from the incident site while other gang members involved are absconding, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ram Bahadur KC said. May 11, Gulmi : A woman died and four others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred at Doholi of Isma rural municipality in Gulmi district Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Kalpana Gandharba, 40, of Doholi in Isma rural municipality. The incident took place when an Isma-bound jeep (Lu 1 Cha 6684) coming from Tamghas in Gulmi district fell off some 150 metres, according to the District Traffic Police Office, Gulmi. May 11, Kathmandu : The World Bank (WB) has said that Nepal's growth has rebounded strongly and has reached 7.5 percent in the fiscal year 2017. This is the highest economic growth rate in the country since 1994.
