May 15, Taplejung : A youth was hacked to death in a Khukuri attack on Sunday at Fuling – the district headquarters of Taplejung. 26 – year – old Sabahang Tabebung Limbu aka Tiger of Furumbu of Fuling Municipality – 10 was killed in the attack, said District Police Office, Taplejung. A group of two to three persons attacked Sahabang at 7:30 am at a coffee house. Sahabang sustained deep cut injuries to his abdomen and died on the way to the district hospital for treatment. Police have arrested Suman Limbu, one of the attackers, from the incident site while other gang members involved are absconding, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ram Bahadur KC said. The Party held a discussion with the Election Commission officials to this regard Friday. One killed in road accident

May 11, Gulmi : A woman died and four others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred at Doholi of Isma rural municipality in Gulmi district Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Kalpana Gandharba, 40, of Doholi in Isma rural municipality. The incident took place when an Isma-bound jeep (Lu 1 Cha 6684) coming from Tamghas in Gulmi district fell off some 150 metres, according to the District Traffic Police Office, Gulmi. Country’s economic growth rate reached 7.5 per cent: World Bank

May 11, Kathmandu : The World Bank (WB) has said that Nepal's growth has rebounded strongly and has reached 7.5 percent in the fiscal year 2017. This is the highest economic growth rate in the country since 1994. The World Bank has said that the best monsoons in recent years; increased availability of electricity; and greater investment as the earthquake reconstruction gathered speed are behind such progress.
